Green buckle with print fabric

Found a great buckle to match my print for a skirt.

Yesterday I met some new friends at the BurdaStyle Day Meetup in Portland, OR. We had a great chat over coffee/lunch and then headed down the street to visit some really cool sewing shops. I finally found a belt buckle to go with the fabric I have for a skirt and blouse. It was a great field trip and wonderful to meet fellow sewists in town.

Modern Domestic LLC

This great sewing studio sells Bernina and Janome sewing machines, repairs both brands and offers sewing classes. You can also just come in with your project and rent time on the machines for a reasonable hourly rate.

Bolt Fabric Boutique

For a wonderful neighborhood fabric store, just take a walk down Alberta Street. They have all kinds of wonderful cotton prints, hard to find patterns and unusual notions. This is where I finally found a good lucking belt buckle.
